Ron is survived by his loving wife of 49 years, Betty Van Wieren, daughter Lorene (Erik) Van Wieren of Manton, MI., son Ronald Van Wieren JR. Hope PRC was began in 1915 as Hope Christian Reformed Church and organized in 1925 as a Protestant Reformed congregation. Ron found joy in the crossing of the Mackinac Bridge, and mentioned the fresh air in every crossing. Ron loved the Upper Peninsula and after Ron retired from Haworth, the couple traveled there often to enjoy the peace and beauty of Upper Michigan.

Our pastor is the Reverend Ronald Van Overloop. Ron and Betty enjoyed a long and happy marriage surrounded by family and friends. Reformed Church was organized in 1996 as a daughter congregation of Hope PRC in Walker, Michigan. Ron married Betty (Butler) Van Wieren on Jand was the father of twins born in 1972. Ron was born to Fred and Agnes Van Wieren on Novemand grew up in several small communities around the country. Ronald (Ron) Van Wieren passed away Decemafter a brave battle with cancer.
